Professional Career and Celebrity History of Blippi
How Did Stevin John Create Blippi?
John posted the first Blippi video in early 2014. It featured tractors. He handled the filming, editing, and graphics himself.
He modeled the tone on Mister Rogers, aiming to be educational yet childlike. He’s said blue suggests trust and orange suggests fun. He chose the name Blippi partly because babies tend to learn p and b sounds first.
What Did Stevin John Do Before Becoming Blippi?
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 2006 to 2008, according to a veteran-focused outlet. He later worked as a filmmaker in Los Angeles and has listed SEO work among past jobs.
In 2013, he also posted gross-out comedy under the name Steezy Grossman.
When Did Stevin John Stop Playing Blippi Regularly?
Until May 2021, John was the only Blippi on the channel. On May 8, 2021, Clayton Grimm hosted an episode as an alternate Blippi.
John didn’t vanish. Moonbug says he remains the writer and creative force behind the character.
Why Did Blippi Introduce Another Performer?
Moonbug said the aim was more Blippi content and a dedicated live-show performer. Tour producers had earlier said John was too busy to tour.
Moonbug later said the role grew to include Grimm and other live-show actors.
What Happened to the Original Blippi?
Nothing dramatic. Moonbug said in 2021 that John wasn’t going anywhere. He kept creating, appeared in select content, and became a father in 2022.
His role simply shifted from sole performer to creator.
Who Plays Blippi Now?
Three performers have played Blippi on screen: Stevin John, Clayton Grimm, and Ben Mayer. Mayer began on Blippi’s Vroom Vroom Vehicle Show on November 16, 2024.

If you’ve seen a specific video, check its credits before naming anyone.
Blippi’s Net Worth, Salary, and Business Deals
What Is Blippi’s Net Worth in 2026?
Stevin John’s net worth isn’t officially disclosed. Celebrity Net Worth, a third-party site, estimates it at $40 million.
Any real figure would have to account for YouTube ads, merchandise, live shows, and the 2020 sale. Other sites publish higher and lower numbers, and most don’t show their math. Treat every figure as an estimate.
How Has Blippi’s Net Worth Changed Since 2022?
No reliable source tracks a year-by-year figure. The big financial events came earlier. They included the 2020 Moonbug sale, Moonbug’s 2021 sale to Candle Media, and a Netflix license in January 2022.
Since then, estimates have mostly been repeated rather than updated.
How Much Does Blippi Earn Per Month?
John’s monthly income isn’t public. In 2019, BuzzFeed News roughly estimated that Blippi’s channels could earn $100,000 to $1.6 million monthly in ad revenue.

How Much Is Blippi’s Salary?
Not publicly disclosed. Moonbug owns the brand now, and any pay, royalty, or profit-share terms are private.
Be wary of sites that quote a precise salary.

Moonbug bought Blippi and Cocomelon on July 30, 2020, and released no per-brand terms.
Does the Original Blippi Still Get Paid?
The terms are private. Moonbug has said John stays involved as writer and creative force, and he still appears in some content.
Some sites claim he earns ongoing royalties, but none cite a source.

Blippi Net Worth vs. Ms. Rachel: Who Has More?
Neither figure is verified, so there’s no clean winner. Blippi’s commonly cited estimate is $40 million.
Ms. Rachel launched her YouTube channel in 2019, five years after Blippi debuted. Her estimates range from roughly $6.5 million to $50 million. PunGrace also profiles the estimated fortunes of other online creators, including Clix and comedian Marcello Hernandez. Forbes reportedly put her 2026 earnings near $26 million. Blippi’s brand sale makes a direct comparison even harder.
How Does Meekah’s Net Worth Compare to Blippi’s?
Meekah is a character, played by Kaitlin Becker and Cashae Monya. Neither actor’s net worth is publicly disclosed.
Online figures vary wildly and lack sources, so a real comparison isn’t possible.

Blippi’s Controversies and Public Reactions
